What's a Good Seat?The Frank Mayborn Auditorium is a fairly intimate venue with 420+ seats. There really is no bad seat in the house. That said, the best location to sit is in the center, not too close to the front as that helps the sound blend better by the time it hits your ears.
What Can I Expect?The fun begins in Strasburger Hall for those with season tickets. Prior to the concert, you will hear local musicians performing. You will also have an opportunity to socialize, hear from the performers about their ensemble, and learn about the music they will be performing. Free beverages and hors d'oeuvre are provided.
What do I wear?More than anything, we want you to be comfortable when you join us for a concert. Some people love dressing up and going out. If you prefer to be more casual, then that's okay too.
How long is a concert?Concerts vary in length depending on how long each piece is on the program. Generally, most concerts will last about 2 hours. There is a 15 minute intermission; beverages and hors d'oeuvres are available in Strasburger Hall for those with season tickets or enjoy the art displayed in the four art galleries.
What about my phone?We want you to have fun and share your experience with others. Take pictures and check in on social media prior to the concert starting. During the concert, make sure your phone is on silent out of consideration for the performers.
What else should I expect?After the concert, most performers will be in the lobby to meet you, take pictures, and sign autographs. You can also purchase the performer's merchandise.
